Mavi employees

We work as specialists in agricultural and rural administration. We are responsible for the implementation of support for farmers, rural business, and projects, as well as structural and market support.

Mavi employs approximately 210 persons, with 78% of staff possessing higher education qualifications. A typical qualification of a Mavi employee is a master’s degree, for example in Agriculture and Forestry, Administrative Sciences or Law.

In addition, Mavi employs people with bachelor’s degrees or applicable intermediate education qualifications for various tasks.

Our duties are both national and international. The values of the agency guide our work: in a professional manner, reliably and communally.

Becoming experts together

Our goal is to diversify and deepen our expertise and competence. We invest in improving our competence and leadership, as well as in high-quality supervisory work.

Partnership and good administration

We interact in a broad  cooperation network in our administrative sector. Our Finnish partners are:

  • the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry,
  • the Economic Development, Transport and Environment Centres (ELY Centres),
  • municipalities’ co-operation areas and Leader groups.

As a paying agency of the EU, we cooperate closely with the other paying agencies within the EU and the European Commission.

We work in new facilities in the very centre of Seinäjoki . The new facilities were completed in 2011, and make good use of tools for mobile working.
