The member states of the European Union publish annually the amounts paid from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) per beneficiary. Publication is required by the Council Regulation (EC) No 1290/2005 on the funding of common agricultural policy. The Commission Regulation (EC) No 259/2008 enacts in more detail how the publication of information on beneficiaries is to be implemented.

Based on this legislation, the Agency for Rural Affairs has set up a service in which the information on the beneficiaries is to be published. At the first stage, information is to be published on the amounts paid from the rural development fund between 1.1.2007 and 15.10.2007. Information on amounts paid during financial year 2008 (16.10.2007 – 15.10.2008) relating to both the agricultural guarantee fund and the rural development fund will be published on 30 April 2009 at the latest. In the future, the payment information relating to these funds shall be published by the end of April each year on amounts paid by the end of the previous financial year.

The service will publish the beneficiary’s name, municipality of residence, the amount of support paid from the agricultural guarantee fund itemized as direct aid and other aid, the support paid from the rural development fund as well as the total of these. The amounts include both the Community and the national contributions of support.
